Diwali – The Hindu Celebration Honoring Lakshmi

In the Hindu tradition, Goddess Lakshmi is a bringer of physical wealth and abundance, also brings spiritual wealth, such as intelligence, enlightenment and the awakening to the God within. Lakshmi is described as being “as radiant as gold” and “illustrious like the moon.” She is said to “shine like the sun” and “to be lustrous like fire.”

But Lakshmi has a deeper, esoteric significance in that she is associated with immortality and the essence of life. She is often depicted with a lotus and an elephant. The lotus represents purity and spiritual power; the elephant, royal authority.

In her hand she holds a lotus flower. The flower represents the greatest treasure of all, the attainment of spiritual power and perfection through self-realization, or oneness with the Higher Self. Within the lotus flower, Lakshmi holds the key to the next stage of your spiritual development.

Lakshmi – An Embodiment of the Divine Mother

Lakshmi's consort is Vishnu who holds the office of Preserver in the Hindu Trinity, parallel to the principle of the Son in the Western Trinity. Lakshmi shares Vishnu's role as preserver. Her wisdom is revealed in blessings of prosperity and the precipitation of the abundant life. She bears the cornucopia of good fortune by “eye magic,” the eye magic of the All-Seeing Eye of her beloved.

How to Get What You Need From the Universe

God wants you to have whatever wealth your soul needs. God will supply your needs once you remove the blocks between you and your I AM Presence and Christ Self. These blocks may be what is stopping you from receiving the wealth and talent you require in order to fulfill your reason for being.

“Supply” from the “Heart, Head and Hand Decrees”

I AM free from fear and doubt,
Casting want and misery out,
Knowing now all good Supply
Ever comes from realms on high.
I AM the hand of God’s own Fortune
Flooding forth the treasures of Light,
Now receiving full Abundance
To supply each need of Life.

Dissolve Fear, Expand Abundance

One of the most important steps you can take to remove the blocks to your wealth is to dissolve the energy that you have tied up in fear and self-doubt. You may not even know that you have this fear, but it may surface while you’re decreeing. If it does, you should visualize it being dissolved by the violet flame.

As you dissolve this fear and doubt, you will be liberating energy that can then return to you as wealth and talent. Once you have visualized the violet flame removing these blocks, then you can visualize your talents and whatever you need descending.

See this abundance coming down from your Presence as shafts of white energy tinged with green and gold. As these shafts reach the level of your heart, see them bursting into flame, an emerald flame. You can even see the flame in your heart blaze up with this green color surrounded by violet. The emerald green represents the abundance not just of money but also of burgeoning new life, creativity, genius and ideas.

As you daily give the “Heart, Head and Hand Decrees,” repeating them three times, nine times or even thirty-six times at a sitting, you’ll see the things you need come to you by the power of your I AM Presence. And one day you may see the goddess Lakshmi sailing toward you over a calm sea, with a lotus blossom in her hand.
