The Divine Spark That Burns within Your Heart
This flame that burns within your heart (one-sixteenth of an inch in height) is the divine spark, the potential of your divinity. It is the gift of Life of the Creator to the creation. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…”
The consciousness of the Son is centered in the flame, which is thus called “the Holy Christ Flame.” This Trinity of God’s sacred fire focuses the primary attributes of Power, Wisdom, and Love—his bestowal, flame of his very Flame, to every son and daughter.
Truly this threefold flame is the tri-partite Light which lighteth every man and woman of God that cometh into the world.
This is the individualization of the God flame whereby the Word is “made flesh” in you and whereby you behold the glory of the Lord of all within your members.
The flame that burns within your heart is the seat of cosmic consciousness, the ensign of the son or daughter of God. It is your link to Reality, to Being, and to Life eternal. It is the anointing by the Real Self of all souls who choose to keep the standard of the Law of the One.
For the original Keepers of the Flame who came with Sanat Kumara it was the supreme joy of their service to fan freedom’s fires in the hearts of earth’s wayward children—to woo them back to their First Love.
Three Aspects of the Heart Flame
Thus, in the first aspect of the flame, the blue, they taught the worship of God as Lawgiver, as Father Principle, showing the people how to internalize and amplify the will and the power of the First Person of the Trinity.
In the second aspect of the flame, the yellow, they sent forth praise to His Light-emanation—Christos—as the eternal Son, the Second Person of the Trinity, setting the example of the path of the incarnation of the Word through the wisdom (wise dominion) of the Law even as they outpictured the qualities of the Teacher.
In the third aspect, the pink, they ministered unto Love as the Third Person, the Holy Spirit, teaching the littlest children the self-realization of the fires of illumined creativity through a compassionate individuality, unveiling the cloven tongues as the twin flames of the Comforter and the seat of the Divine Mind.
These things they did. And as ministering servants, they sought to quicken the action of all three by awakening the soul’s inherent devotion to the Divine Mother—she, the personification of the sacred fire, the white-fire core at the heart of Matter creation—she, the ascension currents, the vital force enshrined in the body temples of her sons and daughters, and everywhere in Nature the energy of purity that reignites the Trinity in the hearts of mankind.
The Coming of the Ancient of Days
Long ago the Ancient of Days came to earth to keep the flame of Life that you and I might live to one day know the True Self as God. He was known as Sanat Kumara, one of the Seven Holy Kumaras who focused the Light of the seven rays.
When cosmic councils had determined that no further opportunity should be given to humanity—so great was their departure from cosmic law, their desecration of Life—Sanat Kumara raised his hand and offered his heart to serve the souls of mankind until the few and eventually the many would respond once again to keep the flame of Life.
Granted this dispensation by solar lords, Sanat Kumara came to earth with sons and daughters of God who volunteered to support him in his mission as Keeper of the Flame. He established his retreat on an island in the Gobi Sea, now the Gobi Desert. And there at Shamballa he would remain to tend the sacred fires until some among mankind would stir from the low estate to which they had descended by their ignorance (ignoring) of the Law of the One—until once again they would begin to call upon the name of the Lord[vi] and give devotion to the Living Flame of the Most High God.
For at this dark hour of planetary history, all had forgot their God Source, none paid recognition to the spiritual fire in the temple of man. Therefore, through adoration and invocation to the one God, and service to the planetary lifewave, Sanat Kumara and his band of Keepers of the Flame magnified the triune aspects of Life which in the beginning the Father-Mother God had placed as the threefold flame within their offspring. This they did that the Children of the Sun might remember their reason for being.
